Deliverable:

To create an apparel piece for the collection that would ultimately mix both high fashion and streetwear aesthetics in a minimalistic way.

Introduction:

 After doing some research I focused on making denim the focal point of this piece. The quote, "Pense Et Ca Sera" OR "Think & It Will Be" in English was something I wanted to incorporate into the piece.

Problem Statement

I began to evaluate my objective for the collection by crafting a problem statement that would address the needs of the consumers. The issue was over saturation of similar apparel designs that desperately needed to be revamped. Bringing awareness to a social issues and life problems was the best way to give the fashion world something that it has not been accustomed to. 

Target Market

An ECLAIRES customer is unapologetically themselves; and are aware of not only their inner world but most importantly their outer. In short they are socially conscious.

Marketing & Trend

  • The designs will be available for purchase through engaging online platforms. Such as a website, Instagram, and designer pop up shops in NYC. 

  • The research I compiled was less of a trend but more of bringing notice to a topic I feel needed to be addressed, belief in oneself.

  •  Selvedge denim is higher-quality, harder-to-produce denim that is typically sold and worn unwashed. When loomed you can get 10 times as much denim per hour when it’s not selvedge.

  • Persian Curtain Rug is a polyester and cotton blend that is lightweight and also a bit reflective.

  • Gold and navy blue was picked to demonstrate luxury. It also keeps the piece simple and easy to digest visually.
